Lulutolily episode 16 puts Ajipon in the story and Mitsukan launches a campaign

The second cour of The Magical Sisters Lulutolily keeps finding ways to grab attention. This time, episode 16 slipped a ponzu identical to Mitsukan's Ajipon into a cooking show, and the official brand didn't let the opportunity pass. There's a campaign on X with signed products and a collaboration with Sabagebu! that's already on its second installment.

The trigger is as absurd as it gets: both MISSION 11 of Sabagebu!, "Red Meteor," and episode 16 of Lulutolily have battle scenes against crabs. So they decided to celebrate the coincidence with a "crab battle without honor" PV and a series of cross-posts between the official accounts of both titles.

Episode 16 features "Umapon," a ponzu that imitates the real Ajipon. That was enough for Mitsukan's official account to join in with a double-follow campaign. You have to follow @ajipon_mizkan and @luluttolilly, quote the campaign post with the hashtag #美味ぽん, and wait for the drawing.

Ten winners and a week of free Sabagebu!

The prize is a set that combines a bottle of Umapon with an original Ajipon label and a bromide of Lily and Lulu with character signatures. Ten winners in total across the two accounts. The campaign closes on November 8 at 11:59 PM Japan time.

The collaboration with Sabagebu! also leaves something tangible for those outside Japan or not entering drawings. MISSION 11, "Red Meteor," will be free on YouTube from October 25 at 11:00 PM to November 1 at 11:59 PM. Exactly one week to watch the crab battle that started all this.

Also, the Sabagebu! OVA comes to digital distribution for the first time. Until now it was only available as a Blu-ray extra. The full series and the OVA cost 220 yen each, with 168 and 72 hours of viewing respectively.

First cour marathon and Proplica products

For those who haven't gotten hooked yet, ABEMA will air a marathon of episodes 1 to 12 on November 1 starting at 2:00 PM. The second cour, episodes 13 to 16, runs on another channel on the platform. After airing, the episodes stay free for a week.

Bandai is also using the moment to remind everyone that the Proplica sets of the glass pacts are already on sale. The Stut Neon set with Konpeto Lily's wand, and the Moon Toneon set with Mashu Lulu's wand, cost 11,000 yen each. They are 1/1 scale replicas with light and sound effects to recreate the transformation.

The second cour of Lulutolily has been airing since October 4 on TOKYO MX and other networks. The series is the latest in Studio Pierrot's magical girl line, the same one that began in 1983 with Magical Angel Creamy Mami.
