Final BokuYaba volume reveals illustration for its exclusive big acrylic stand
Animate shows Norio Sakurai's artwork for the made-to-order product and details the purchase sets for volume 14, out on November 6.
Animate published the original illustration that Norio Sakurai made for the big acrylic stand of Boku no Kokoro no Yabai Yatsu. The product, made to order, can only be reserved by those who buy volume 14 of the manga, which goes on sale on November 6, 2026 and closes the story.
The drawing shows Kyotaro Ichikawa and Anna Yamada with the expressions that define them as a couple. There are no more visual details in the announcement, but there is a reminder of how the campaign works: the acrylic stand reservation will be open until December 6 and costs 7,700 yen, tax included, plus the price of the book.
What each Animate set includes
Volume 14 arrives with a tiered offer depending on how much each reader wants to spend. The regular edition costs 649 yen; the special one, which includes a graduation album from Dainijuni Middle School, goes up to 4,620 yen.
Animate puts together three sets on those bases:
- Premium: acrylic keychain with new illustration and a 24-page booklet compiling commemorative images. The special edition costs 6,160 yen and the regular one 2,189.
- Set A: only the acrylic keychain. The special edition costs 5,610 yen and the regular one, 1,639.
- Set B: only the 24-page booklet. The special edition is 5,170 yen and the regular one, 1,199.
The big acrylic stand is separate: it is ordered when buying any version of volume 14, including the Animate sets.
Fair for the end of the manga
From November 6 to December 6, Animate stores across Japan and their online store are holding a fair for the conclusion of the series. For each eligible volume purchased —volumes 1 to 14 in the regular edition, volumes 3 to 14 in the special edition, and the two volumes of Boku no Kokoro no Yabai Yatsu: Love Comedy ga Hajimaranai— a reversible B6 visual board with a comment by Sakurai is given away.
There are five designs and you cannot choose which one you get. It is the kind of detail Animate repeats for long series endings: it rewards physical purchases with material that will not be reprinted.
An ending with a third season on the way
Sakurai's manga has more than 7 million copies in circulation and won first place in the web category of the Next Manga Awards 2020. The anime adaptation had two seasons, in 2023 and 2024, and a film that premiered in February 2026. The third TV season is announced for 2027.
Volume 14 ends a story that began with Ichikawa, a middle school boy with dark delusions, and Yamada, the classmate who enters his library refuge without warning. Eight years later, the conclusion arrives with a considerable commercial apparatus: acrylic stands, booklets, boards, and even collaboration menus at Gratte cafés, with designs from all 14 volumes.
Pre-orders for the big acrylic stand close on December 6. After that, only what Animate has manufactured to order will remain.
