The official Dragon Ball store launches an exclusive Goku based on the cover of the first volume

Bandai reveals all the details of the S.H.Figuarts Son Goku & Dragon -DRAGON BALL STORE Exclusive Edition-, a cheaper version with fewer accessories than the 40th anniversary one.

Juan Castillo 1 November 2026

Bandai has finally shown the exclusive figure from its official Dragon Ball store. The S.H.Figuarts Son Goku & Dragon -DRAGON BALL STORE Exclusive Edition- recreates Kid Goku riding the green dragon from one of Akira Toriyama's most recognizable illustrations, the same one used as the cover for the first collected volume of the manga.

The figure will be sold only at DRAGON BALL STORE TOKYO during November 2026. It costs 8,800 yen, about 56 dollars. That's 2,200 yen less than the 40th anniversary version, a price cut explained by the selection of accessories, which is much more modest.

Fewer accessories, same sculpt

Bandai reuses the mold of the S.H.Figuarts Son Goku & Dragon -40th Anniversary Edition-, released in 2025 through V Jump. The original sculpt is by Hiroyuki Nakazawa, STUDIO-Ren and Yusuke Watanabe; the articulation was handled by Serow, a regular designer for the Dragon Ball S.H.Figuarts line.

Goku keeps the articulated body of about 7.5 centimeters. The dragon returns with its three cloud-shaped stands, so the set recreates the scene of the boy flying over the creature's sinuous body with the Power Pole in hand.

What changes is the color. Bandai adjusted the tone of the green scales, whiskers, horns and dorsal crest of the dragon to get closer to the statue that presides over the store. It also retouched Goku's outfit and belt.

The 40th anniversary edition included three interchangeable expressions, six pairs of hands, spare parts for the hair and head, several weapons and a commemorative booklet. The store version comes with two pairs of hands, a spare belt and the Power Pole. It also adds an interchangeable dorsal fin for the dragon, along with the cloud stands and a new base.

That base is another distinctive feature: it uses the colors of DRAGON BALL STORE TOKYO and displays the store's logo in large print. It replaces the commemorative stand from the previous edition.

A figure that replicates the store's installation

DRAGON BALL STORE TOKYO is the first official store for the franchise. One of its centerpieces is a large statue of Goku and the dragon based on the cover of the first manga volume, and this figure works as a scaled interpretation of that installation and of Toriyama's original drawing.

The S.H.Figuarts Son Goku & Dragon -DRAGON BALL STORE Exclusive Edition- will go on sale exclusively at the physical store in Tokyo during this month. The news doesn't mention international distribution or online sales.
