Yozakura-san launches the operation to rescue Futaba and Shinzo in episode 44

The second season of Yozakura-san chi no Daisakusen reaches episode 44 this Sunday with the whole family on a war footing. The episode, titled "Start of the Sibling Rescue Operation," finally kicks off the plan to recover Futaba and Shinzo, and the official website has already released a synopsis and preview screenshots.

The broadcast will be on Sunday at 5:00 p.m. across the 28-station MBS/TBS network. The episode is part of the second cour of this second season, which premiered on October 11, 2026.

The "oyaji kari 2" system goes into action

The episode begins with the "oyaji kari 2" analysis system, upgraded by Shion, finally up and running. While she tracks Hyaku's location, Taiyō takes the chance to raise his own level and stand up to the enemy in front of him.

Kyōichirō's training is not exactly gentle, and with Hai's support, Taiyō finds a way to fight that lets him maintain Banka Ryōran. Just then the alert comes in: Shion has located Hyaku.

With that information on the table, the Yozakura family and the gold-rank spies get moving. The goal is clear: get Futaba and Shinzo out of there.

Staff and cast

The anime adapts the manga by Hitsuji Gondaira published by Shueisha under Jump Comics. Direction is handled by Takahiro Nakatsugawa, with Mirai Minato as chief director and in charge of series composition. Animation is by SILVER LINK.

The cast keeps Reiji Kawashima as Taiyō Asano and Kaede Hondo as Mutsumi Yozakura.
