Mangafest 2026 comes to Jaén on November 7
The Andalusian city hosts a day dedicated to manga, anime, video games and Asian culture.
Mangafest 2026 will be held in Jaén on November 7. The event will bring together fans of manga, anime, video games and Asian culture for a day aimed mainly at a young audience.
The event was presented with the participation of the Youth councilor of the Jaén City Council, José Manuel Higueras, and David Herrera, head of the organizing company. Both highlighted the intention of bringing to the capital of Jaén a proposal linked to entertainment and new forms of cultural participation.
Video games and Asian culture as protagonists
The organization wants to turn Mangafest 2026 into a meeting point for followers of Japanese animation, comics, collecting and cosplay. Also for those who are approaching this type of convention for the first time.
Video games will have a prominent role in the program. The industry has established itself as one of the main leisure options among young people, and the event seeks to highlight its cultural and social dimension.
The fan communities that keep manga and anime culture alive through meetups and shared activities are also at the center of the event. These gatherings have become spaces for coexistence where the public can express themselves, discover new works and connect with people with similar interests.
An event to strengthen Jaén's cultural offerings
The involvement of the municipal Youth department reflects the interest in promoting alternative leisure activities for new generations. Mangafest 2026 is envisioned as an event capable of connecting Jaén's cultural offerings with the tastes of an audience used to consuming digital content.
For the city, holding this event means strengthening its programming linked to contemporary culture. Jaén adds an initiative aimed at attracting visitors and generating activity around a sector that brings together creators, companies, associations and fans of different ages.
The organization and the City Council are working to make the experience accessible and dynamic. With this edition, Jaén is preparing to live a day dedicated to manga, anime and video games, with Asian culture as the common thread.
