Jujutsu Kaisen final exhibition will reveal unpublished materials and secrets of the ending
The Tokyo event will show sketches, storyboards and content from Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, the sequel written by Gege Akutami, for the first time.
The final Jujutsu Kaisen exhibition now has dates and promises much more than a look back at the series. The event will take place at Triangle Plaza in the Shinjuku Sumitomo Building, Tokyo, from December 25, 2026 to January 25, 2027, and will display never-before-published materials about Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, the manga sequel.
The announcement confirms that the exhibition will include sketches, character designs and behind-the-scenes material. All of it will help to better understand how Gege Akutami, the author, worked and what decisions he made while building the ending of the story.
The final Jujutsu Kaisen exhibition will include an area dedicated to Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, the sequel that introduces a new generation of characters.A look at Gege Akutami's creative process
The exhibition is not limited to finished illustrations. The new space dedicated to Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo focuses on the creative process: from the first ideas to the final form of the characters and the key plot points on the manga pages.
In manga, a small change in a design, an expression or the composition of a panel can completely alter the perception of a scene. Seeing those initial sketches helps to discover the work behind every published page.
Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo is the sequel written by Gege Akutami with illustrations by Yuji Iwasaki. It was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump between September 2025 and March 2026, with 25 chapters later collected in three volumes. The story marks a transition for the franchise after the closing of the Yuji Itadori and the sorcerers arc.
Visitors will be able to see original character designs, storyboards created by Akutami and other uncommon materials.Answers about the ending and the Shinjuku Showdown battle
In addition to the sequel material, the exhibition will allow visitors to go deeper into the ending of the original manga. Gege Akutami is expected to share additional comments to clarify the layers of meaning in the final part of the story and to answer questions related to the Shinjuku Showdown battle in a special Q&A session.
That arc is one of the most important in the series: it brings together fights that define the fate of several key characters. Many readers were left with doubts after the closing, and this session aims to resolve them.
The exhibition will also show unpublished materials from volumes 28 to 30, including storyboards, drafts and setting designs. This will make it possible to follow the development of the final chapters and compare Akutami's original ideas with the finished scenes.
Volume 30 of Jujutsu Kaisen was released in Japan on December 25, 2024 and ended the manga. The final exhibition arrives almost exactly two years after that closing.
Although the original manga ended, Jujutsu Kaisen remains appealing through its animated adaptations.Souvenirs for attendees
The organizers also prepared souvenirs for visitors. Among the items are tote bags inspired by the Domain Expansion, as well as acrylic stands, special stickers, keychains, badges and dioramas.
