The Rainbow Days author returns with a romance about a woman caught between two loves.
Minami Mizuno has a new manga. The author of Rainbow Days will launch Fujikawa Minori wa Erabenai. (Minori Fujikawa Cannot Choose.) in the next issue of Shueisha's Cocohana magazine, out on November 28. The announcement came in the magazine's December issue, published this Wednesday.
The story follows Minori Fujikawa, a woman who can't decide between an unforgettable love and a new romance that is just beginning. The title says it all: Minori cannot choose. That is the central conflict of the work.

Mizuno recently wrapped up Ao Haru Sō e Yōkoso (Welcome to Apartment Aoharu) in November 2025. That manga began in Shueisha's Bessatsu Margaret in February 2023. Before that, she wrote Hiiragi-senpai to Ofutari-sama (Together With Upperclassman Hiiragi), serialized in the same magazine between December 2021 and November 2022, with three compiled volumes.
She also wrote Koi o Shiranai Boku-tachi wa (We Who Know Nothing of Love), which ended in May 2021 with eleven volumes. The series started as a one-shot in January 2018 and became a full serialization in June of that year.
But the name that resonates the most is Rainbow Days. Mizuno published it in Bessatsu Margaret from February 2012 to March 2017, with fifteen volumes in total. It had a drama CD included with the limited edition of the seventh volume in October 2014, a TV anime that premiered in January 2016, and an OVA that accompanied the thirteenth volume in September 2016. Funimation streamed the series as it aired in Japan.
From Bessatsu Margaret to Cocohana
With this launch, Mizuno moves from Bessatsu Margaret to Cocohana. The announcement gives no further details about the length of the first chapter or the editorial team behind the manga. It also doesn't say whether the work will have a simultaneous digital edition or if it will reach platforms outside Japan.
The date is clear: November 28 in Cocohana.
