LINE Manga launches tennis manga special for Toray PPO 2026

LINE Digital Frontier announced on October 24 the start of a tennis manga special on its LINE Manga and ebookjapan services. The campaign coincides with the Toray Pan Pacific Open Tennis Tournament 2026, which kicks off that same day at Ariake Coliseum and Ariake Tennis Park in Tokyo, and runs until November 1.

The tournament, now in its 41st edition since 1984, is Japan's longest-running international women's tennis event and one of the largest on the circuit. LINE Manga and ebookjapan return as official sponsors, an agreement they already held in the previous edition and which now translates into discounts and free reading for users of both platforms.

Which titles are included in the promotion

The special makes five volumes of BREAK BACK, the manga by KASA published by Akita Shoten, free. Also available at no cost are one volume of The Prince of Tennis (Tennis no Ōjisama) by Takeshi Konomi, another of its sequel, The New Prince of Tennis (Shin Tennis no Ōjisama), both from Shueisha, and one of Baby Steps by Hikaru Katsuki, published by Kodansha.

On LINE Manga, BREAK BACK also joins the "￥0 Pass" program, which allows reading a selection of chapters for free for a limited time, and the number of episodes available through the recharge system is expanded. The company does not detail the full list of included titles, but says there are more tennis manga on discount during the days the tournament lasts.

The author of 'BREAK BACK' celebrates the campaign

KASA, author of BREAK BACK, has left a message for the occasion. "Congratulations on the Toray Pan Pacific Open Tennis Tournament 2026. I'm really looking forward to seeing the world's best female tennis players compete in Japan," he says in the comment released by the organization.

"To commemorate the tournament, you can read BREAK BACK at a discount on LINE Manga and ebookjapan. I'd be happy if you took this opportunity to enjoy it."

The campaign will be active until November 1, the same day the tournament closes.
