Misaki Shokuhou manga chapter 38 free to read for a limited time

Comic Newtype has announced that chapter 38 of A Certain Scientific Mental Out is available in Japanese for free for a limited time. It can be read through the official Comic Walker website.

The next chapter, chapter 39, will be out on November 24, 2026. Anyone who wants to read the current chapter for free has until then to do so.

What A Certain Scientific Mental Out is

The series is a spin-off of A Certain Magical Index that is still in serialization. Its protagonist is Misaki Shokuhou, the fifth Level 5 esper in Academy City, the futuristic hub where students develop supernatural abilities through the Power Curriculum Program.

The character plays an important role across the franchise. A Certain Scientific Railgun explores her past and her rivalry with Mikoto Misaka. A Certain Magical Index New Testament details significant parts of her story, including her relationship with the protagonist, Touma Kamijou.

The art is handled by Yasuhito Nogi, who also worked on another spin-off of the saga, Astral Buddy.

The rest of the franchise

The latest volume of the main light novel series, A Certain Magical Index Genesis Testament 16, is already on sale in Japan. The fourth season of Railgun is also still in production.

The anime adaptation of the light novel and manga A Certain Dark Item is currently airing.

The free access to chapter 38 will only be available until the next one arrives. Will you read it on Comic Walker? Let us know in the comments.
