Choujun! Choujou Senpai episode 5 reveals synopsis and preview images

The Choujun! Choujou Senpai anime released the synopsis and screenshots for episode 5, which is split into two segments: "Convenience Store Patrol" and "Teenage Patrol." The series has been airing since October 6, 2026 on the "Hi Anime Bar!!" block of Kantele and Fuji TV, every Tuesday at 23:00.

In the first part, Choujou and his colleagues infiltrate a convenience store to catch a thief. The official synopsis says they struggle to adapt to a job they don't know, but they make an effort to serve customers. It's a classic Japanese comedy scenario: characters with absurd powers facing the routine of scanning products and smiling. The humor is in that contrast.

The second story brings a new character into the police station. Ban Heisuke, a middle school student, shows up wanting to be taught how to use superpowers. The synopsis describes him bluntly: a boy with ulterior motives. He is voiced by Ura Kazuki, and based on the description, he looks like one of those characters who arrive to make the protagonists uncomfortable.

A duo that works through contrast

The series adapts the manga by Shun Numata, published by Shueisha under Jump Comics. The story brings together Choujou Jun, a specialist in investigating crimes with telepathy, clairvoyance and other abilities, and Ippongi Nao, a rookie officer with a judo belt and so much strength that they call her "Gorilla." The setting is the city of Chinshuku, where this unlikely duo keeps the peace.

Animation is handled by Albo Animation, with direction by Junichi Yamamoto and scripts by Hayashi Mori. The cast includes Yusuke Kobayashi as Choujou, Rina Aoi as Ippongi, Maria Naganawa as Lobo-kun, Daisuke Ono as Inukai Yuki, and Toshiya Miyata as Enain Hajime.

Episode 5 arrives after a fourth chapter with "Ignored Messages Patrol" and "Contest Patrol." The structure of two short stories per episode remains, which is common in comedies of this type. It allows for testing different situations without stretching a single plot.

Where to watch

The episode airs on Tuesday at 23:00 on the national block of Kantele and Fuji TV. On AT-X it starts Thursday at 22:00, with reruns on Mondays at 10:00 and Wednesdays at 16:00. Streaming platforms upload it every Tuesday at 23:30, and TVer offers the latest episode for free for one week.

The published screenshots show the characters in store uniforms and Ban's arrival at the police station. There are no further details on how the plots develop.
