Milky☆Subway movie Blu-ray arrives October 28 with original script
The special edition includes illustrated packaging, the series script, and a special program with the voice cast.
The film Ginga Tokkyū Milky☆Subway Kakueki Teisha Gekijō Yuki finally has a date for its physical release. Bandai Namco Filmworks launches the Blu-ray on October 28, and the deluxe version comes with a detail we love: the original script of Milky☆Subway.
The special edition includes packaging with new artwork, that original script, and, as a video extra, the special program that aired to celebrate the film's theatrical premiere. There the voice cast lets loose with improvisation, pure chaos in the best way.
The film premiered in February this year and surpassed 550 million yen at the box office. Not bad for a short series that was born on YouTube and already exceeds one million subscribers on its official channel. Its more than 280 million views explain why the jump to theaters worked so well.
Editions and prices
The Blu-ray of Ginga Tokkyū Milky☆Subway Kakueki Teisha Gekijō Yuki is sold in two versions. The limited special edition costs 8,250 yen with tax on Rakuten Books, with free shipping. There is also a standard edition, and each store lets you choose which one you want at checkout.
If you buy from Rakuten Books or Amazon, you get an extra: an acrylic stand with new artwork of Akane and Kanata. And at A-on STORE there is a limited quantity edition that includes a glow-in-the-dark sofubi of Poppy-kun.
Heads up: contents may change, as the distributor itself warns. Pre-orders are already open.
