Kotobukiya launches Umi figure from Magic Knight Rayearth in June 2027
The 1/7 scale piece measures 260 mm with base and costs 24,860 yen; pre-orders include an extra face
Kotobukiya announced the release of a figure of Ryūzaki Umi, one of the three Magic Knights from Magic Knight Rayearth, for June 2027. The piece goes on sale for 24,860 yen and pre-orders are already open through the company's official store.
The figure is 1/7 scale and stands about 260 mm tall including the base. Kotobukiya presents her with her sword raised and a serious expression, in a pose meant to convey the character's elegance and determination. Her hair and skirt are spread out, as if the figure were in mid-motion.
The finish includes gradients and color separation on the outfit and accessories. The base, with transparent pieces, recreates an upward jet of water, a direct nod to Umi's water powers.
Pre-order with extra expression piece
Those who pre-order the figure at Kotobukiya Shop or the Kotobukiya online store will receive an interchangeable face as a bonus. The company has not detailed which expression that additional piece includes.
Umi is one of the main characters of the Magic Knight Rayearth anime, the TV adaptation of CLAMP's work. Along with Hikaru and Fuu, she travels to the world of Cephiro, where the three become Magic Knights.
For now, the company has only confirmed the release date in Japan: June 2027.
Will you make room for her in your collection or will you wait to see if they announce Hikaru and Fuu? Tell us in the comments.
