Okamoto Nobuhiko plays Shishikuno Mogari, a boy with the power to devour spirits who runs away from his strict family to enjoy a normal youth in Kamakura. The catch is that, to do so, he first has to exorcise every ghost in the city.

Hanae Natsuki voices Korekishi Yuto, a model student who doesn't believe in the supernatural until an incident brings him together with Mogari. They found the Phantom Busters club and recruit two more classmates: Kanzaki Kaoru, an otaku who does see spirits, played by Uchiyama Kouki; and Tamon Kotaro, who can talk to them but struggles with humans, voiced by Suzuki Ryota.
