Iruma-kun 'IruMafia' spin-off premieres January 4 on NHK

The spin-off series of Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun (Mairimashita! Iruma-kun) now has a date. The IruMafia-hen anime will premiere on January 4, 2027 in Japan on NHK, with a season of 12 episodes. As reported by 3DM, distribution and streaming platforms outside Japan have not been announced yet.

It is a parallel story that breaks away completely from Babyls school. In this version, Iruma ends up in the world of the mafia after helping Sullivan, who here acts as the boss of a criminal organization. The main cast members return, but with different personalities and circumstances. The new promotional image shows those alternative designs.

Production is handled by Tatsunoko Production, with Keiichiro Kawaguchi as director. Kazuyuki Fudeyasu is in charge of series composition, Kenji Fujisaki adapts the characters, and Yayoi Sekimukai composes the music. The spin-off story is written by hiro者, under the supervision of the original author, Osamu Nishi.

The voice cast keeps the actors from the main anime. Ayumu Murase plays Iruma, Ryohei Kimura plays Asmodeus, Ayaka Asai plays Clara, Mitsuki Saiga plays Opera, Saori Hayami plays Ameri, and Daisuke Ono plays Kalego.

The franchise keeps expanding

The fourth season of the main anime ended this year. A movie was announced afterward, but it has no release date or confirmed theatrical window yet.

The spin-off thus joins NHK's winter 2027 lineup. For now there is no news about international distribution or a possible dub outside Japan.
