Shin Tennis no Oujisama U-17 World Cup episode 6 shows Kintarou against the Rikkai pair
The series releases the summary and preview images for the episode "Ojo por ojo", focused on the D2 between Oomagari and Kintarou against Yukimura and Yanagi.
Animate Times published the summary and preview images for episode 6 of Shin Tennis no Oujisama U-17 World Cup: Kesshou Member Ketteisen, titled "Yararetara yarikaese" ("Ojo por ojo"). The episode continues the third match of the decision phase, which starts with a condition imposed by coach Mifune: wait for the result of the D2 before continuing.
The D2 pits Oomagari Ryuuji and Tooyama Kintarou against the Rikkai pair, Yukimura Seiichi and Yanagi Renji. Kintarou enters with Ten'imuhou active and moves all over the court. The summary notes that he has only been playing tennis for half a year, a detail that once again surprises the Japanese representatives.
The Rikkai pair responds with superior coordination. Yukimura and Yanagi do not let Oomagari and Kintarou get close. Kintarou starts to feel the pressure and the urgency: he cannot lose here. His goal of becoming the best tennis player in Japan is a promise he made to the person who taught him how to play.
The third match, conditioned by Mifune
Mifune's decision to hold off the start of the third match until the D2 result is known gives weight to this duel. It is not a mere formality: what happens between Oomagari, Kintarou, Yukimura and Yanagi sets the pace for the rest of the encounter. The series had already been building this decision phase with matchups where strategy weighs as much as individual technique.
Kintarou is one of those characters who works best when taken out of his comfort zone. His Ten'imuhou makes him unpredictable, but against a pair as synchronized as Rikkai's, the mental wear appears quickly.
