The Seven Knights of the Marronnier Kingdom episode 5 reveals preview and early scenes
Queen Hyurokkin tries to keep Nemukunai while the girls in blue close in on Eleonora.
NHK E-Tele airs The Seven Knights of the Marronnier Kingdom every Saturday, and we already have a first look at its fifth episode. The synopsis, preview images, and trailer for "When I Return" have been released, continuing the story right where last week left off.
The episode focuses on two fronts. On one side, the blue dream confuses Queen Hyurokkin, of the land of long nights, and pushes her to keep Nemukunai in her territory. Kastelhelmi, the daughter of the royal family who has grown close to the knight Yoan, is the first to notice something is wrong.
On the other side, Nemukunai feels that his relationship with Eleonora has become awkward. A maid tells him something unexpected about her and he runs off to find her. But the girls dressed in blue are already silently surrounding Eleonora, and their presence begins to shake what exists between the two.
What the series is about
The story takes place in the kingdom of Marronnier, at the center of a continent divided into eight countries. General Baribara has seven children, each with a very different quality: Nemukunai, Hiroai, Atsugaruya, Samugaruya, Kemono Tsukai, Ken Jiman, and Harapeko.
Their great goal is to rescue a princess heroically. To achieve it, the siblings travel as ambassadors to seven kingdoms, where encounters, trials, and a destiny we still haven't fully seen await them. It's a fantasy romance and adventure with a medieval setting, and the tone is very much in line with stories that mix family comedy with court drama.
Returning cast
The cast keeps Kenji Takanashi as Nemukunai, Miyuki Sakurai as Eleonora, and Natsumi Fujiwara as Princess Brynhildr. We also hear Takehito Koyasu as the castellan Elliot and Kazuyuki Okitsu as Chancellor Hugo.
In this arc, the characters of the long night gain weight: Hyurokkin, voiced by Naomi Shindō, and Kastelhelmi, played by Yurie Funato. The narrator remains Shō Hayami, a detail that gives each episode a classic fairy tale feel.
The fifth episode premieres this Saturday on NHK E-Tele. Are you enjoying the journey of the seven siblings? Tell us in the comments what you expect from "When I Return."
