Hello Kitty-themed anime expo comes to San Juan del Río in November
The free event will take place on November 14 and 15 with a cosplay contest, K-pop, and over 30 exhibitors.
San Juan del Río will have its own Anime Expo with a special Hello Kitty and friends theme. The event will be free and will take place on Saturday, November 14 and Sunday, November 15 at Plaza y Tecnología SJR, on Avenida Río Moctezuma, a few meters from Paseo Central.
The venue will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on both days. The event combines pop culture, collecting, and activities for the whole family, with a particular focus on the Sanrio character.
Cosplay, K-pop, and over 30 exhibitors
The program includes K-pop style dance performances by the local academy K-Dance Studio SJR. There will also be a cosplay contest, where participants will compete with their best characterizations for prizes.
The expo will bring together more than 30 local and national exhibitors. There will be general merchandise, collectibles, and Hello Kitty-related products at affordable prices. The food and themed bakery area will offer creations such as pizzas with the character's silhouette, pancakes, popsicles, and artisanal desserts.
In addition, a community bazaar will give space to artisanal exhibitors and regional entrepreneurs, with the intention of encouraging local consumption and showcasing the talent of San Juan del Río.
Families from the municipality and the region are invited to attend. Those who want to participate as merchants or entrepreneurs can still contact via WhatsApp at 4271126006.
