Otaku Vampire's Love Bite is getting a TV anime

The wait is over for those of us following Otaku Vampire's Love Bite (Oshi ni Amagami): Julietta Suzuki's manga is getting a TV anime adaptation. The announcement came this November 4 and has us hyped through the roof.

The series has been running since November 2022 in Hakusensha's Hana to Yume magazine, one of the most beloved shojo publications. By July 2026 it already had 10 volumes, a solid number for a series barely in its fourth year.

Suzuki is no stranger: she's the creator of Kamisama Kiss (Kamisama Hajimemashita), one of those shojo titles that marked an entire generation. Having her back with a new story was already reason to celebrate, and now with an anime on the way, even more so.

The story follows Hina, a girl so busy collecting Mao merchandise that she barely minds missing the Vampire Cross themed cafés. What she really wants is a human friend who will eat all the themed food for her, but connecting with people isn't easy. Until she literally crashes into her neighbor Kyuta, a difficult guy who looks a lot like Mao.

According to the synopsis shared by Viz Media, Hina sees Kyuta as the perfect opportunity: having her best friend living right next door would be super convenient. Now she just has to convince him to actually want to be her friend. The premise mixes the humor of a die-hard fan with that supernatural touch we love so much.

For now, no details have been revealed about the animation studio, voice cast, or premiere date. The production was just confirmed, so we'll have to stay calm while more news arrives.
