An idol and her number one fan

The story is based on the manga by Jyun Wakatsuki published by Kodansha. K Manga sums up the premise with a line that defines the tone of the series: "If you can really make me the Center... then we can get married." Mizuki Natsuno is the least popular member of Melty Strawberry, a nationally successful idol group. Koichi Okuta, her devoted fan, ends up living with her after a series of coincidences.

From there, Koichi sets out to make her the group's new Center. What follows is an unconventional collaboration between a devoted fan and his idol, with one clear goal: to pull Mizuki out of obscurity and into stardom.

The manga began serialization in Magazine Pocket in 2023. By July 2026 it had reached six collected volumes, according to the publisher's data.

Kishi is reuniting here with part of the team he already worked with on Blue Orchestra and Tsuki ga Kirei, two productions that also have Kakihara and Morita in key roles.

The broadcast date, the channel or platform that will distribute it and the rest of the cast are still to be announced. For now, the announcement is limited to showing the characters' designs and the tone of the series.
