Peropero★Sparkles anime premieres in January 2027 on TV Tokyo
The network publishes the main visual and confirms Sakihara Yūki, Kanno Mai, and Fairouz Ai as the lead trio
TV Tokyo has announced that the anime adaptation of Peropero★Sparkles will begin airing in January 2027. The network, which is producing the project, has also published the main visual and the voice cast, along with the first comments from the actors.
The series is based on characters by illustrator Sekiya Yurie, known for her designs with big, sparkling eyes. The anime follows three mischievous girls who arrive on Earth from the star Peropero★Sparkle, on the other side of the galaxy, to investigate what things are iketeru, a Japanese expression that roughly means "stylish" or "cool."
The trio is made up of Mero, Kyun, and Rū. Each has a well-defined personality: Mero is serious and a bit scatterbrained; Kyun is flirty and a cosmetics fanatic; Rū is pure energy. The network describes the series as an absurd comedy of "unordinary everyday life," with magic at will and an always positive tone.
Main cast and comments
Sakihara Yūki voices Mero. The actor describes his character as someone close to himself, who talks fast and gets carried away, and says the recording sessions are "super fun" because he can give it his all.
Kanno Mai plays Kyun. The actress confesses she has always liked kawaii and colorful culture, as well as Sekiya Yurie's work, so getting the confirmation for the role was "like a dream."
Fairouz Ai takes on Rū. On top of her adorable voice, she says the character also brings out a deeper, more forceful register, and she hopes the audience enjoys that contrast.
Along with the cast, the news includes a series of short, lighthearted comments that seem to come from the actors themselves, though the page does not attribute them one by one. Among them, one recommendation stands out: to pay attention to the details aimed at adult viewers within a world designed to soothe children.
「人生一度きりだし、広い世界見たくない?というノリで(笑)、日本語以外なんっにも喋れないのですが、人生初めての海外旅行に行ってきました!笑♡」
The text also mentions that the opening narration aims to introduce the viewer to the world of the series, balancing pacing and energy, and that the final result has turned out well.
A TV Tokyo project
Production is handled by TV Tokyo, which is adapting Sekiya Yurie's original illustrations. The illustrator has gained popularity for her characters with big, sparkling eyes, a style that is directly reflected in the main visual published alongside the announcement.
For now, the network has not confirmed the exact premiere date or the number of episodes. The announcement only confirms the January 2027 window and introduces the lead trio with their voices.
