Dive in Wonderland gets one-day theatrical screening in the U.S. and Canada

Dive in Wonderland will screen in select theaters in the United States and Canada on November 16, 2026. It will be a one-day-only event, part of the Crunchyroll Anime Nights lineup.

The film hit Japanese theaters on August 29, 2025. Now, North American audiences will be able to see this reimagining of the Lewis Carroll classic on the big screen.

The story follows Rise Azumino, a college student who doesn't know what direction to take. Her life changes when she finds an invitation letter that belonged to her late grandmother. That message leads her to Wonderland, where she meets Alice and sets off on a journey with her.

The production is handled by P.A. Works, a studio known for its stories centered on characters going through major changes.

A Wonderland full of familiar faces

The film keeps several elements of Carroll's universe, but adapts them into a Japanese animated adventure. Among the inhabitants that appear are:

• The White Rabbit, who kicks off the journey.
• The Caterpillar, one of the most enigmatic characters.
• The Queen of Hearts and her card soldiers.
• The Mad Hatter and the March Hare.
• Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee, presented as twins.
• The Cheshire Cat, who once again challenges Rise's certainties.

These encounters lead to chaotic, humor-filled situations, with the unpredictable spirit that defines Wonderland.

But Rise's journey isn't just fantasy. The protagonist carries the loss of her grandmother and the feeling of not knowing which direction to take. As she moves forward with Alice, she will have to face the consequences of her decisions and figure out what future she wants to choose.

For now, only the U.S. and Canada screenings have been confirmed. Details about other regions will have to be announced later.
