I Married a Stalker: Police search the house and find his items

Volume 98 closes the arrest scene with the discovery of numerous stalking items.

Laura Martínez 3 November 2026

I Married a Stalker reaches volume 98 with an expected scene: the police search the house and find numerous stalking items. The situation is resolved with Kyōsuke's arrest in flagrante and Mifuyu safe.

The chapter starts right where the previous one left off. The footsteps that could be heard weren't just anyone's: it was a police officer. Mifuyu manages to get out of danger and Kyōsuke is arrested on the spot. After the scare, Natsuko and Mifuyu hug each other crying and can finally say "now we're really safe."

The search of the home is the part that gives this installment its title. Inside, numerous stalking items appear, the physical trace of an obsession that has been growing volume by volume. In this manga, everyday objects become evidence of what happens behind the door.

A manga that discomforts on purpose

I Married a Stalker is one of those stories you read with a knot in your stomach. The series follows Mifuyu, a woman who discovers that the man she married is not who he appeared to be. What starts as a normal marriage slowly twists into a nightmare of control, surveillance, and fear.

The manga is published in installments and each chapter moves forward little by little, but always leaves that feeling that something worse is about to happen. Those of us who have followed the series for a while know that this arrest is a turning point, although the story has already taught us not to trust the calm moments.

The reunion scene between Natsuko and Mifuyu is one that stays with you. After so many chapters of tension, seeing them cry in each other's arms feels like a relief, even if it's a brief one. The relief mixes with everything that still remains to be explained.

What to expect from this volume

Chapter 98 works as the closing of the arrest sequence and opens the door to what comes next. The police already have Kyōsuke in custody and the evidence is on the table. What we don't know is how the story will continue from here.

If you haven't started this series yet, it's not a manga for everyone. Its way of portraying stalking and psychological violence is direct and doesn't beat around the bush. But if you like psychological horror stories with a realistic base, it's one that leaves a mark.
