Romelia Senki part 2 premieres in April 2027

Hiro Shimono will perform the ending theme for the second cour, which continues the story after the Demon King's defeat

Javier Fernández 2 November 2026

The second part of the Romelia Senki anime will begin airing in April 2027. The announcement also confirms that the ending theme for the new block will be handled by Hiro Shimono, voice actor and artist.

The series premiered on October 5, 2026 on TOKYO MX, BS11, Sun TV, KBS Kyoto and CBC. It adapts Ryō Ariyama's light novel, Romelia Senki: Maō o Taoshita Ato mo Jinrui Yabasō Dakara Guntai Soshiki Shita, published by Shogakukan under the Gagaga Books label with illustrations by Kodama and Ryō Kamido. The story begins right after Romelia and her fiancé, Prince Henri, defeat the Demon King Zergis. Henri breaks off the engagement and Romelia sets out on a new path: rebuilding her war-torn country and giving people back the life the demons took from them.

The first cour is currently airing. Production is handled by studio Atra, directed by Kōji Saitō, with scripts by Aya Satsuki and music by KOHTA YAMAMOTO. The opening is "Akatsuki ni Naru" by Chōgakusei, and the ending for the first block is "Nightfall feat. Maika Loubté" by KOHTA YAMAMOTO himself.

Shimono joining the second cour changes the series' closing song. The production has not revealed the song's title or whether KOHTA YAMAMOTO will remain involved in the ending. Shimono is not part of the voice cast announced so far, so his connection to the series remains, for now, purely musical.

Romelia Senki combines fantasy and political rebuilding. The protagonist doesn't just fight: she raises an army, moves the economy and faces conspiracies while trying to bring stability back to a devastated land. The cast is led by Yūna Nemoto as Romelia, Jin Ogasawara as Al and Tomohiro Ōno as Ray.

The original novel ended with six volumes, all published in Japan. The manga adaptation, drawn by Ryō Kamido, also has six volumes under Mag Garden's BLADE Comics label. The anime has not announced how many episodes it will have in total.

The anime's official website and social media will publish more details about the second cour in the coming months. It remains to be confirmed whether the opening will change, how the broadcast will be structured across the five Japanese networks and whether Shimono's new ending will come with a preview before the April premiere.
