ELDEN RING: The Road to the Erdtree chapter 93 shows Aseo as the Lord of Frenzied Flame

The first part of chapter 93 of the manga ELDEN RING: The Road to the Erdtree is now available in the digital magazine COMIC Hu. The installment was published on November 4, 2026, and shows the reunion between Melina and Aseo after the protagonist became the Lord of Frenzied Flame.

Nikiichi Tobita's work adapts the universe of FromSoftware's action RPG with a comedic tone. As in previous installments, the chapter has simultaneous or nearly simultaneous distribution in several languages besides Japanese.

Melina finds Aseo in the depths

In this part of the story, Melina reaches the deepest point of the Subterranean Shunning-Grounds while searching for an Aseo who has given no sign. There she comes across the transformation caused by Hyetta's guidance: the Tarnished has become the Lord of Frenzied Flame.

The manga puts the reader before a difficult decision. Aseo was supposed to become the Elden Lord, but his change of appearance and condition leaves Melina's reaction up in the air.

The Lord of Frenzied Flame has taken the place of the would-be Elden Lord, and Melina is the first to see him.

The publication does not reveal what the character will do next. We will have to wait for the second part to see if Melina confronts Aseo, abandons him, or tries to bring him back to his path toward the Erdtree.

Aseo's journey to the Erdtree

The manga's premise begins with a broke Tarnished lying in Limgrave. With no memories of his previous life, Aseo accepts Melina's deal and sets off toward the Erdtree following the guidance of Grace.

Along the way he crosses paths with well-known characters from the video game: the nomad Patches, the half-wolf Blaidd, Margit the Fell Omen, Godrick the Grafted, and the witch Ranni. The comedic tone warps the encounters from the original game, but the protagonist's route follows the progression through the great runes.

Aseo has already obtained Godrick's rune, Radahn's, and Rykard's at the Volcano. With all three in his possession he reached the capital, Leyndell, and stopped at the gates of the Erdtree. The separation from Melina happened upon reaching the city, although the two meet again in this chapter.

The character Hyetta, key to Aseo's transformation, appeared in the story searching for Shabriri grapes and a special grape marked by fingerprints. Her role echoes that of the video game, where the young woman guides the player toward the Frenzied Flame ending.

International distribution and collected volumes

The series is published in COMIC Hu, the free web magazine launched in 2019. Chapter 93 is also available in English, Traditional Chinese, and other languages through simultaneous editions or with a minimal delay depending on the publisher in each territory.

In Spain, the manga is licensed by Norma Editorial, which has published the first and second chapters in Spanish. In English it is handled by Yen Press, and in Traditional Chinese by Taiwan Kadokawa. The news does not detail the status of the Spanish edition beyond those first episodes.

The Japanese collected edition is up to volume 12, which is still on sale. The publisher notes that Aseo's story is already at the gates of the Erdtree and encourages readers to follow the journey in print as well.
