Futsuutsuka na Akujo anime releases idol visuals of Reirin and Kei

The official account for the Futsuutsuka na Akujo de wa Gozaimasu ga: Hinomiya Chō Nezumi Torikae Den anime posted new visuals showing Reirin and Kei as idols. The announcement comes on November 4, a date known in Japan as "Ii Oshi no Hi" or Good Oshi Day.

The illustration shows an alternate scenario in which both leads, after the body swap, are part of an idol group called Futsuutsuka na Idol de wa Gozaimasu ga. The art is by Hidaka, who handles the manga adaptation and previously worked on the 2025 idol visual.

In the image, Reirin poses with her hand on her cheek while Kei looks a little embarrassed. The two are lying down facing each other. It's a sweet visual, and the contrast between Reirin's confidence and Kei's shyness is very much in line with their dynamic in the original story.

A campaign with fans and a profile video

The promotion doesn't stop at the illustration. The anime team will hand out support fans with the visual of both characters, and it also posted profiles of Reirin and Kei after the swap. To round it out, they released a profile video where you can learn their favorite foods, hobbies, and other details about their personalities.

There is also a fan letter campaign. Anyone who sends a message to Reirin or Kei will receive an exclusive image as a gift. It's a common dynamic in these idol projects, but here it feels especially fun because it mixes the inner court world with the fan letter format.

Second cour in January 2027

The anime will premiere its second cour in January 2027. The first part is already available on several streaming platforms in Japan. Production remains at Doga Kobo, with direction by Mitsue Yamazaki and scripts by Yoshiko Nakamura.

The cast keeps Manaka Iwami as Reirin and Natsumi Kawaida as Kei. Makoto Furukawa, Yuichiro Umehara, Hana Hishikawa, Inori Minase, Yui Ishikawa, and Yuichi Nakamura also return, among others.
