Dark Gathering unveils a new horror visual with the T Tunnel and confirms its presence at Jump Festa 2027
The December 20 event will feature Yuu Shimono and Nobunaga Shimazaki, the voices of Yayoi and Keitaro.
The second season of Dark Gathering brings us a third horror visual dedicated to the T Tunnel, one of the most unsettling cursed spots in the series. The image arrives alongside confirmation that the show will have its own panel at Jump Festa 2027, held in December at Makuhari Messe.
The T Tunnel is no ordinary location. It sits in an area known as the "ghost road" due to the number of fatal accidents and spirit sightings attributed to it. The visual shows the inside of the tunnel with dozens of handprints marked on the walls and a supernatural presence threatening the protagonists from the car. In short, it looks like one of those moments where Yayoi and company are in for a really rough time.
A panel with the main voices
The Dark Gathering panel at Jump Festa 2027 will take place on Sunday, December 20, 2026, from 4:20 p.m. to 4:50 p.m. (Japan time), on the Jump Studio stage. The guests are Yuu Shimono, voice of Yayoi Hozuki, and Nobunaga Shimazaki, who plays Keitaro Gentouga.
There, the latest news about the anime will be presented, with its second season set to premiere sometime in 2027. If you can't attend the event, the program will be streamed live through the official Jump Channel YouTube channel.
For those who want to go in person, admission is free but requires a prior application and lottery system. The deadline to sign up ends on November 16 at 5:59 p.m. (Japan time), so if you're in Japan around those dates, don't sleep on it.
What we know about season 2
The second season brings back the main staff from the first. Hiroshi Ikehata directs at OLM, Shigeru Murakoshi handles series composition, and Yuri Ichinose returns to character design. In the cast, alongside Shimono and Shimazaki, Kana Hanazawa continues as Eiko Hozuki, Rina Kawaguchi as Ai Kamiyo, and Yoshihiro Nakamura as narrator.
The original manga by Kenichi Kondo is published in Shueisha's Jump SQ. magazine, and the first season of the anime already made it clear that this isn't a stroll through haunted places: it's a full-on ghost hunt, with a girl who collects spirits like someone collecting trading cards.
What do you think of the new visual? Do you think the T Tunnel will be one of the big moments of the season? I'll read you in the comments.
