Razer launches its EVANGELION EVA-01 collection with mouse, keyboard and gaming chair

Razer teamed up with Neon Genesis Evangelion to launch a collection of peripherals inspired by EVA-01, the purple and green unit piloted by Shinji Ikari. The Razer EVANGELION (EVA-01) Collection brings the anime's visual identity to five pieces of gaming hardware and furniture, designed for a complete, coordinated setup.

This isn't the first time Razer has put Evangelion in its catalog: there was already a collaboration with EVA-02. Now the focus is on EVA-01's purple armor, with neon green accents and mechanical details. The difference from other collaborations is that it isn't limited to a mouse and a keyboard. The collection covers audio, desk accessories and even a chair.

A mouse with its own launch platform

The main product is the Razer DeathAdder V4 Pro – EVANGELION (EVA-01) Edition. It's a lightweight wireless mouse with an ergonomic design and HyperSpeed Wireless Gen-2 connectivity. The most striking thing isn't the mouse itself, but the exclusive stand that comes with it.

The stand is inspired by the docking platform that secures the Evangelion before deployment. Once assembled, it holds the mouse at rest and also works as a display piece. It's the collectible detail of the line, and probably what will move fans who already have a setup.

The keyboard in the collection is the Razer BlackWidow V4 TKL HyperSpeed – EVANGELION (EVA-01) Edition. It keeps the tenkeyless format, which leaves more room for mouse movement, and comes with hot-swappable switches to change the typing experience without soldering. The wireless connectivity and low latency are still those of a serious gaming keyboard.

Audio, mousepad and chair to complete the setup

For audio, Razer included the Leviathan V2 X – EVANGELION (EVA-01) Edition. It's a compact USB-C powered soundbar, designed to sit under the monitor without cluttering the desk. The EVA-01 finish is combined with Razer Chroma RGB lighting, taking the anime aesthetic beyond the usual peripherals.

For the desk there's the Gigantus V2 XXL – EVANGELION (EVA-01) Edition, a large-surface mousepad with textured fabric for consistent tracking. And the biggest piece in the collection is the Iskur V2 X – EVANGELION (EVA-01) Edition chair, which mixes the purple and green style with built-in lumbar support for long sessions.

For now, the collection is exclusive to Asia-Pacific. Pre-orders are expected through Amazon and select retail partners in the region, although availability may vary by market. Reference prices in Japan are 32,980 yen (about 215 dollars) for the mouse, 35,980 yen (235 dollars) for the keyboard, 22,980 yen (150 dollars) for the soundbar, 6,980 yen (45 dollars) for the mousepad and 69,980 yen (455 dollars) for the chair.

With five coordinated products, Razer's collaboration goes beyond applying an anime color scheme to existing hardware. The exclusive mouse stand gives it a collectible component, and the rest of the line lets you bring the EVA-01 aesthetic to your entire gaming space.
