Image from the original Anitsu edition. Manga artist and illustrator Rakko passed away on March 20, 2026, due to acute heart failure. The announcement was made by his brother on March 27 through the artist's official X account, where he explained that the family had already held a private funeral.
According to the statement, Rakko felt unwell and called an ambulance himself. When emergency services found him, he was sitting in his work chair with a half-drawn manuscript open on his computer. His brother noted that he remained devoted to manga until the very end.
Rakko presented himself as an erotic manga artist and primarily published works for adults, many of them as dōjin publications at Comiket events. His best-known work is Suketto Sanjō!!, which first appeared in 2010 in the anthology Mechashiko Seven and received a standalone edition in 2019. The work inspired an adult OVA in 2020.
