Hiragi-san's House of Vampires gets TV anime
UNLIMITED PRODUCE by TMS adapts the vampire manga by Miki Yoshikawa, author of A Couple of Cuckoos.
The manga Hiragi-san's House of Vampires (Hiiragi-san no Kyūketsu Jijō) will get a TV anime adaptation. The news came this Saturday with the opening of the project's official website, which also revealed the first visual.
The production is handled by UNLIMITED PRODUCE by TMS. No release dates or cast details have been announced yet.
The story follows Shota Minamoto, an orphaned middle school student who lives in a foster care facility. One day he is adopted by a family living in a luxurious Japanese-style mansion and, just as he starts to let his guard down, he discovers they hide a secret the world cannot know. The official description calls it a "bloody, cozy love comedy."
From the author of A Couple of Cuckoos
Behind the manga is Miki Yoshikawa, known for A Couple of Cuckoos. With this new work, the author shifts gears and presents a vampire story with a tone closer to family comedy, though with her touch of blood.
Yoshikawa published a one-shot of this "family comedy" in 2019, and the manga began serialization in October 2021 in Kodansha's Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine. The sixth compiled volume came out in Japan in November 2025.
Kodansha's K MANGA service publishes the manga in English, so if you want to check it out before the anime premieres, that's the official way to read it.
For now we only have the visual and the studio confirmation. We'll have to wait to find out when we'll get to see this peculiar vampire family in motion.
