Crunchyroll to stream Mashle: Magic and Muscles season 3 in India in January 2027

Crunchyroll has confirmed that the third season of Mashle: Magic and Muscles will arrive in India in January 2027. The platform, which already has the first two seasons available in the country, continues its commitment to one of the most unique action comedies of recent years.

The announcement comes with confirmation of the team returning to the project. Tomoya Tanaka is back as director at A-1 Pictures, with Yōsuke Kuroda on scripts and series composition, and Masaru Yokoyama on music. There is one change: Chiaki Furuzumi, chief animation director and sub-character designer on both seasons of Solo Leveling, replaces Hisashi Higashijima as character designer.

An adaptation that aims to be complete

The anime project is presented as a complete adaptation of the manga. The first season premiered in Japan in April 2023 with 12 episodes, and the second arrived in January 2024 with the same number. Crunchyroll has streamed both in India, with Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu dubs added over the months.

The manga ran in Weekly Shonen Jump from January 2020 to July 2023. Shueisha collected the series in 18 volumes, the last published in October 2023 along with a fanbook. The story follows Mash Burnedead, a young man with no magical powers in a world where magic is everything, who makes up for that lack with brutal physical training.

"Powerfully trained muscles crush magic in this abnormal magical fantasy," reads Shueisha's synopsis.

The franchise is not limited to the anime and manga. It includes several novels, two stage adaptations, and a mobile puzzle game, Mashle: Muscle Puzzle, which launched in April 2025.

On the publishing side, both Viz Media's Shonen Jump service and Shueisha's MANGA Plus published the manga in English digitally. Viz Media also handles the print edition.

For now, there is no exact date for the third season's premiere beyond January 2027, nor details on the episode count.
