Eleceed gets collected volume in January, ahead of April anime

The webtoon Eleceed will get its first collected volume in English on January 19, 2027. Inklore, the Penguin Random House imprint, will publish episodes 1 through 17 in a 320-page volume priced at $23.

The collection arrives just before the anime premiere, which will stream on Crunchyroll in April. The production is handled by Tokyopop and MBC Anime, with Amuse Bilibili and AND among the partners.

The story follows a kind-hearted young man who uses his super-fast reflexes to save children in danger, find lost pets, and do other good deeds. And then there's the other protagonist: a secret agent with superpowers trapped in the body of a fat, old cat.

The webtoon is written by Jeho Son and drawn by Zhena. It runs on WEBTOON, where it has 2.3 million subscribers and nearly 500 million views.

A release that gets ahead of the anime

Inklore's deal with Webtoon Entertainment was announced in 2025 and included 14 titles. Eleceed was slated for 2026, but the first volume will now arrive in January 2027.

The volume is a trade paperback measuring 5 3/4 by 8 1/4 inches. For those who prefer physical format over infinite scrolling, it's the entry point to a series that already has a huge reader base.

The anime does have a clear window: April on Crunchyroll.
