Kara no Kyoukai and Fate/stay night [HF] arrive in unlimited streaming today
Netflix, ABEMA, U-NEXT and five other platforms launch the ufotable films as part of a joint TYPE-MOON project
The Kara no Kyoukai and Fate/stay night [Heaven's Feel] films are available from today, October 30, 2026, on eight streaming platforms in Japan. The announcement comes from the official account of the Mahoutsukai no Yoru film, which premieres on November 20, and is part of the "Minna de Miyou! TYPE-MOON × ufotable" project.
The initiative aims to get audiences to revisit the studio's previous works before the new film opens. The confirmed platforms are Netflix, ABEMA, U-NEXT, DMM TV, dAnime Store, Anime Hodai, Hulu, and Bandai Channel. All of them offer the titles under an unlimited viewing model.
A joint project by TYPE-MOON and ufotable
The official statement is clear: the streaming arrival of both sagas is part of "Minna de Miyou! TYPE-MOON × ufotable," a special project tied to the release of Mahoutsukai no Yoru. The film, based on the TYPE-MOON visual novel, opens in Japanese theaters on November 20, 2026.
ufotable has also produced a special visual for the occasion, focused on Kara no Kyoukai. The first illustration corresponds to chapter 1, Fukan Fuukei, which opened in theaters on December 1, 2007. The text accompanying the image recalls that release date and lists the eight platforms where it can be seen from today.
So far two illustrations have been published: one for the first chapter and one for the second, Satsujin Kousatsu (Zen). The statement does not clarify whether there will be more images for the remaining entries.
Two sagas, ten titles, and a trilogy
The Kara no Kyoukai film series adapts the novels by Kinoko Nasu, the creator of TYPE-MOON. The protagonist is Ryougi Shiki, a young woman with mystic eyes capable of perceiving the death of anything, and the story moves between the everyday and the supernatural. The complete project consists of ten titles, all included in this launch.
Meanwhile, Fate/stay night [Heaven's Feel] adapts the third route of the original Fate/stay night visual novel. It is the darkest branch of the story, with Matou Sakura as the heroine, and it explores what lies behind the Holy Grail War. The trilogy shares its animation studio with Kara no Kyoukai: ufotable.
Both works predate Mahoutsukai no Yoru and share the same author: Kinoko Nasu. The streaming project taps into that connection to set the stage for the November premiere.
No date outside Japan
The announcement refers to Japanese platforms. There is no mention of international availability or versions with subtitles in other languages. The eight platforms cited operate in Japan, and the statement includes no information about other territories.
The special visual is published on ufotable's official X account.
