Anime USA 2026: Ironmouse, cosplay and three days of RPG in Chantilly
The Virginia convention moves to the Westfields Marriott Washington Dulles from November 20 to 22.
Anime USA celebrates its 26th edition from November 20 to 22, 2026, and it does so with a change of venue: the event moves to the Westfields Marriott Washington Dulles, in Chantilly, Virginia, after years at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City in Arlington.
This year's theme is Anime USA XXVI: The RPG, a direct nod to role-playing games, fantasy adventures, and anime storytelling. The theme fits with the connection between anime and gaming, where imaginary worlds and fictional heroes share audiences.
A three-day pass costs $80. There are discounts for children ages 6 to 12, and kids under 5 get in free with a registered adult. Some special events may have an extra cost or age restrictions.
Ironmouse headlines the guest list
The big surprise on the lineup is Ironmouse, a VTuber who uses an animated digital character to interact with her audience in live streams.
In the voice acting department, Anastasia Muñoz, Carrie Savage, and Natalie Van Sistine will be there, English dub actresses who have worked on anime adaptations. Also participating are Saberspark, a content creator known for his commentary on animation, cosplayer Dessi-Desu, and artist Kevin Bolk, also known as K-Bo.
Music is handled by Neo Atomic Motor, with more artists to be added to the schedule. Organizers recommend checking the official website because guests and activities may change.
More than two decades of history
Anime USA started in 1999 as a gathering of anime fans and became a nonprofit organization with educational purposes in 2004. The entire event is produced by a team of volunteers who handle guests, activities, and weekend operations.
In addition to cosplay and panels, the convention has an Artist's Alley, where independent creators sell illustrations, prints, and crafts, and a Dealer's Room with manga, collectibles, clothing, games, and accessories. Gaming also has a strong presence: video games, tabletop games, and tournaments.
Clinton Carlson, marketing director of Anime USA, sums it up: "Anime USA has always been more than anime. It's about creativity, community, and bringing people together through what they love."
The event takes place at 14750 Conference Center Drive in Chantilly. Full information and registration are at animeusa.org.
