Skip to Loafer Season 2 Confirms April 2027 Premiere and Reveals New Creative Team

The second season of Skip to Loafer now has a release window. The anime's official website announced that the series will return in April 2027 with a new promotional teaser and a broad update to its production team.

Production remains in the hands of P.A.Works, the studio responsible for the first season. Kotomi Deai returns as director and shares series composition with Youko Yonaiyama. Joining the character design team is Manami Umeshita, who also serves as chief animation director alongside Reina Igawa and Yuusuke Inoue.

The technical side brings in several new names. Mio Fujishima joins as sub-character designer, while Sara Sakoe, Hiroyuki Honda and Chieko Sato come on board as main animators. For color, art, and photography, the credits list Yuuko Kobari, Sou Senoo and Akane Ueda, respectively.

The soundtrack will be handled by Michiru and Takatsugu Wakabayashi. The announcement also confirmed the return of Tomoyo Kurosawa as Mitsumi Iwakura and Akinori Egoshi as Sousuke Shima.

The first season of the anime, based on the manga by Misaki Takamatsu, aired in spring 2023 with twelve episodes. The manga continues to be published in Kodansha's Monthly Afternoon magazine.
