Seven Sleeping Beauties Gets TV Anime in 2027

The manga Seven Sleeping Beauties (Shichinin no Nemuri-hime) by Fiok Lee is getting a television anime adaptation. The project's official website opened on July 7 to announce the premiere, slated for 2027, along with a teaser visual and a commemorative illustration by the author.

The main cast consists of Aya Yamane as Flora, Yoshino Aoyama as Kiara, Miku Itō as Claire, Ayasa Itō as Mia, Kana Ichinose as Charlotte, Fūka Izumi as Yūka, and Rina Kawaguchi as Eliza.

Direction is handled by Mankyū at Studio Gokumi and AXsiZ SMASH. Keiichirō Ōchi is in charge of scripts, and Masaru Koseki of character designs.

The story is set in the kingdom of Amaryllis, where a witch's curse leaves the entire town asleep. Alec, the third prince of another kingdom, comes to awaken the princess and discovers that there are actually seven of them, and that they will only awaken if he kisses them.

Lee publishes the manga in Kodansha's Afternoon magazine since March 2023. The first compiled volume was released in August of that year, and the twelfth is scheduled for July 16.
