One Piece Announces Two New Films: God Valley in 2027 and Baad in 2029

The One Piece franchise will add two new stops on the big screen. During One Piece Day '26, held on August 23 at Makuhari Messe, Chiba, Toei Animation confirmed that Eiichiro Oda's manga will receive two new anime films: One Piece Film God Valley and One Piece Film Baad.

The first will arrive in Japanese theaters in summer 2027 and will be the first theatrical film since One Piece Film: Red, released in August 2022. Its release will also coincide with a milestone: the 30th anniversary of the manga's serialization, which began on July 22, 1997.

The second, One Piece Film Baad, will premiere in 2029, the year in which the TV anime will also celebrate three decades on air. The logo for this project was hand-drawn by Eiichiro Oda himself, a detail that has already sparked conversation among fans.

Along with the announcement, a special teaser and the logos for both projects were shown. Toei Animation has not yet revealed production staff, cast, or plot details, and has asked fans to stay tuned for upcoming news.
