The My Happy Marriage (Watashi no Shiawase na Kekkon) special now has an official ending theme. It's "Prelude no Temae ni ~for me&you~", the new song by singer-songwriter Kashitarō Itō, and the lyric video just went up.

The song plays during the broadcast and streaming of the special, which starts today, October 25, 2026. It's a pretty straightforward love song: a bright up-tempo track about promising to make that special person smile and never leaving them alone. No half measures.

The lyric video includes a dance scene in the chorus where the protagonist expresses her feelings, and it's the kind of thing that sticks in your head. The combination of the cheerful melody and the devoted lyrics gives it the feel of a classic love song, the kind that wraps around you.

A release that arrives right with the special

The digital single comes out tomorrow, October 26. Itō wrote the lyrics and music, and the arrangement is by EFFY. The song accompanies a special that picks up the story right after the major conflict with the Inō Shinkyō sect and Miyo's awakening as a yumemi miko.

For those unfamiliar with the series: My Happy Marriage adapts the light novels by Akumi Agitogi, published by Fujimi L Bunko. The animation is by Kinema Citrus, directed by Takehiro Kubota. The first season won over half the community with its mix of period romance, family drama, and supernatural touches.

In the special, Miyo and Kiyoka finally move toward marriage after everything they went through. But of course, this is My Happy Marriage: just when things settle down, Miyo runs into Kimio, an elementary school classmate, at a cooking class with Hazuki. And Kimio casts a spell on her to make her "even happier." We'll see what that means.

The cast and staff return

The main voices remain intact: Reina Ueda as Miyo Saimori and Kaito Ishikawa as Kiyoka Kudō. Hiro Shimono, Yōko Hikasa, M・A・O, Ryōhei Kimura, and Kikuko Inoue also reprise their roles, among others.

The anime's music is still in the hands of Evan Call, who already did lovely work in the first season, and music production is handled by Miracle Bus with cooperation from Kinema Citrus and KADOKAWA.

The special airs today at 19:00 on Tokyo MX and other networks. If you liked the ending, the digital single arrives tomorrow so you can add it to your library.
