BanG Dream! It's MyGo!!!!! and Ave Mujica sequel premieres January 8, 2027

The sequel to BanG Dream! It's MyGo!!!!! and Ave Mujica now has a premiere date: January 8, 2027. The series' second teaser confirmed it this Sunday, along with its broadcast on NTV's Friday Anime Night block and 29 affiliate channels in Japan.

The announcement comes shortly after the premiere of BanG Dream! Ave Mujica prima aurora, the anime film project that opened in Japanese theaters on October 16. The new series continues the story of the bands MyGo!!!!! and Ave Mujica, two of the most recent additions to Bushiroad's multimedia project.

A franchise with plenty of history

BanG Dream! began in January 2015 as a music project combining anime, video games, and live concerts. The first season of the main anime arrived in January 2017 with 13 episodes, and the third season aired in January 2020.

The MyGo!!!!! and Ave Mujica branch has a life of its own. BanG Dream! It's MyGo!!!!! premiered in June 2023 on Tokyo MX and ABEMA with three episodes at once. Crunchyroll streamed it in simulcast, and Muse Asia also offered it in Japan. Two compilation films followed: Haru no Hidamari, Mayoi Neko in September 2024 and Utau, Bokura ni Nareru Uta in November of that same year.

The first Ave Mujica series premiered on January 2, 2025 and is also available on Crunchyroll. The newly announced sequel will pick up the story where that installment left off.

The new teaser doesn't reveal much about the plot, but it confirms the premiere window and the main channel. For those who have followed the franchise since the project's early days, it's one more date to mark on the winter 2027 calendar.
