The 2026 Voice Actor Directory Records 702 Male Actors, an All-Time High

The male edition of the 2026 Voice Actor Directory from Seiyu Grand Prix recorded 702 professional actors, an all-time high that marks the fourteenth consecutive year of growth. The figure was published as an appendix to the April issue of the magazine, released on March 10.

The female registry documented 1,135 actresses, the fifteenth consecutive year with a record number of profiles. Combining both sides, the directory reaches 1,837 active actors in Japan.

The publication notes that the directory functions as a public resume to facilitate commercial casting. It includes recent photographs, notable roles, birth dates, places of origin, hobbies, special skills, and blood types.
