IShowSpeed Will Have His Own Anime Series Written by the One Piece Showrunner

Content creator IShowSpeed will star in an anime-style series in which he will voice an animated version of himself. The project is in development at Big Shot Pictures, Brian Robbins' production company, and marks one of his first narrative works outside of live streaming.

The script and production are handled by Matt Owens, showrunner of the first two seasons of the live-action One Piece. Joining him are Brian Robbins and filmmaker Harmony Korine as producers. Plot details remain under wraps for now.

"I've always loved anime, so being able to create something like this is a dream come true for me," said IShowSpeed. The streamer, whose real name is Darren Jason Watkins Jr., has over 52 million subscribers on YouTube and won the Streamer of the Year award in 2024 and 2025.
