Fire Force Season 3: Release Date, Trailer, and Exclusive Details

IGN Fan Fest 2025 has revealed a new trailer for Fire Force, announcing the arrival of its third and final season in two parts. The first half will premiere on April 4, 2025, while the second will see the light in January 2026. As usual, Crunchyroll will offer a simulcast with Japan, allowing fans to enjoy the series in real time.

The trailer also offered a preview of the new opening theme, "High Flame", performed by the rock band QUEEN BEE. Its explosive energy will accompany the anime's intense final stretch, ensuring an unforgettable conclusion to the story of Shinra and the Special Brigade.

On the production team, Tatsuma Minamikawa returns to direct after his work on the second season, while Hideyuki Morioka is back in charge of character design. Animation remains in the hands of David Production, known for high-level works such as JoJo's Bizarre Adventure and Cells at Work!.

Since its premiere in 2019, Fire Force has been a benchmark for action shonen thanks to its spectacular animation and intense battles. The first season, with 24 episodes, was directed by Yuki Yase, while the second, also with 24 episodes, was under the direction of Minamikawa.

The original Fire Force manga, written by Atsushi Ohkubo, was published in Kodansha's Weekly Shonen Magazine between 2015 and 2022, culminating in 34 collected volumes. In Spain, Norma Editorial brought the series in physical format, publishing the final volume in December 2024. Currently, the series is available on Crunchyroll with Spanish subtitles, after Coalise Estudio ceased its distribution in February 2024.

The story of Fire Force remains ablaze with a unique premise: in a Tokyo engulfed by a phenomenon of spontaneous combustion, a special brigade fights against humans turned into flames. Among its ranks, Shinra Kusakabe, a young man with a tragic past and a singular power, seeks to unravel the truth behind the tragedy that marked his life.
