Image from Anitsu's original edition. The official site for Fate/kaleid liner Prisma☆Illya has confirmed Fate/kaleid liner Prisma☆Illya Finale as a TV anime scheduled to premiere in 2027. The announcement comes with a second promotional visual and brings an end to the wait that began after the film Licht — The Nameless Girl from 2021.
Ken Takahashi, director of 3rei!!, returns to direct, with Shin Ōnuma as chief director. Kenji Inoue and Hazuki Minase handle series composition, and Kazuya Hirata returns to character design. The main cast also returns: Mai Kadowaki as Illyasviel von Einzbern, Kaori Nazuka as Miyu Edelfelt, and Chiwa Saitou as Chloe von Einzbern.
The story will pick up the Ainsworth arc where the 2021 film left off. Illya and her allies will learn the truth about Pandora, while Julian opens Pandora's box to end Erika's suffering and Darius takes control of his body to carry out the Ainsworth family's plan.
The original manga by Hiroshi Hiroyama began in Comp Ace magazine in September 2007. The anime adaptation spans four TV seasons between 2013 and 2016, the film Vow in the Snow (2017), the OVA Prisma☆Phantasm (2019), and Licht — The Nameless Girl (2021). Finale will adapt the final stretch of the 3rei!!manga, which had not yet been animated.
