CyberAgent Reorganizes Its Anime Strategy: CygamesPictures Becomes CyPic

CyberAgent announced that CygamesPictures will become a consolidated subsidiary of the group on February 27, 2026. The studio, currently a subsidiary of Cygames, will report directly to CyberAgent and will be reclassified from the games sector to the media and IP sector.

On April 6, one day after commemorating its tenth anniversary, it will adopt the name CyPic. Nobuhiro Takenaka will continue as president and CEO, while Takahiro Yamauchi, president of CyberAgent, will join the board of directors along with Jōji Seita.

The restructuring aims to strengthen production capabilities and accelerate decision-making within the "CyberAgent Anime" strategy, which includes the Abema platform and the studios CA Soa and Studio Kurm. CygamesPictures has produced titles such as Princess Connect! Re:Dive and has collaborated with CyberAgent on projects such as Apocalypse Hotel and Hikaru ga Shinda Natsu.
