Origin of the story: from web novel to anime

Aru Majo ga Shinu Made began as a web novel published on Kakuyomu between October 2019 and August 2022, written by Saka and illustrated by Chorefuji. Due to its success, publisher ASCII Media Works acquired the work and began publishing it as a light novel under the Dengeki no Shin Bungei imprint in December 2021. To date, it has two volumes published in Japan.

The story has also been adapted into a manga, with illustrations by Kenu Amearare. Its serialization began in March 2023 in Dengeki Comic Regulus magazine, and so far three collected volumes have been released. However, neither the novel nor the manga has been officially licensed in English.
