Image from Anitsu's original edition. Kotobukiya's Arcanadea franchise has confirmed its anime adaptation with a January 2027 premiere. The announcement came with a first teaser, the cast, and key members of the staff.
The series will air on TV Asahi and 24 other stations across Japan within the NUMAnimation block, as well as on BS Asahi. The original work is credited to Kotobukiya, with direction by Keiichirō Kawaguchi at Yokohama Animation Lab. Series composition is handled by Atsuhiro Tomioka, while Kumoha Arakawa adapts necömi's original designs. Music is by Yūki Hayashi and Yūki Furuhashi.
Among the announced voices, Nobunaga Shimazaki will play Shōgo Kuga and Kaede Hondo will reprise Lumitea, a character she already voiced in the short video for the four-panel manga YuruCanadea. Also participating are Konomi Inagaki as Kaho Asagi, Miho Okasaki as Velretta, Rina Hidaka as Yukumo, Mai Kanno as Rin Kirinoue, and Moka Kanzaki as Ghi.
The story blends science fiction and fantasy in a near future where Arcana Particles energy drives technological development. Inside the virtual server Eden exists the VRMMO ARCANADEA, but an explosion at Eden Industries triggers abnormal weather, communication failures, and strange disappearances.
