The Apothecary Diaries manga and other Square Enix titles at 50% off on Kindle

Amazon has launched a campaign in its Kindle store with 50% back in points on a selection of Square Enix manga. The promotion runs until October 25 at 11:59 PM and leaves the participating volumes at practically half price.

Among the included works, Kusuriya no Hitorigoto (also known as The Apothecary Diaries) stands out, with all its volumes available in the offer. The story follows Maomao, a young woman who works as a servant in the imperial palace after working as an apothecary in the pleasure district. When she hears a rumor about the short lives of the emperor's children, her curiosity pushes her to investigate on her own.

The campaign also includes other titles that have drawn attention for their anime adaptations. That's the case of Kyōran Reijō Nia Liston, an isekai that starts with a heroine capable of killing gods and who, after being reborn as a fragile aristocrat, turns her second life into a spectacle of battles, broadcasts, and school chaos.

From slice of life to school drama

The selection isn't limited to one genre. Super no Ura de Yani Sū Futari also joins the promotion with all its volumes. The work tells how Sasaki, an exhausted office worker, finds an unusual refuge to smoke thanks to Tayama, a peculiar-looking woman he meets just when his favorite cashier isn't at the store.

For those who prefer romance with cosplay, Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi o Suru (My Dress-Up Darling) joins the offer. Gojō, a student who makes hina dolls, crosses paths with Kitagawa, the most popular girl in class, and that encounter gives way to a school story full of costume making and embarrassing situations.

The list is completed with three more titles. Danshi Kōkōsei no Nichijō arrives with its first collected volume, which includes fifteen short gags and two extra stories. Its author, Yamauchi Yasunobu, also returns with Joshi Kōkōsei wa Ijō de Aru, a new series that picks up the spirit of the "Today... the wind is restless..." meme sixteen years later. And for fans of psychological drama, Kakegurui offers all its volumes with the same discount: Hyakkaō Academy, ruled by gambling, welcomes Yumeko Jabami ready to turn everything upside down.

The discount is applied as a 50% refund in points, not as a direct price cut. That said, Amazon warns that the campaign may end early or suffer price changes without prior notice, so the amounts shown correspond to the time the news was published.

The promotion arrives just as several of these series are in the spotlight due to their adaptations, which makes the offer a good excuse to catch up on the digital volumes before the weekend ends.
