Kazumi Yamashita's Twisted Sisters Manga Ends with 11th Volume
The manga will reach its end in early Japanese spring, and before that it will have a live-action adaptation in January 2027
The manga Twisted Sisters by Kazumi Yamashita will reach its end with volume 11. The announcement came in the tenth collected volume, which revealed it this Thursday, and the ending is scheduled for sometime in early spring 2027.
The story follows Rikako, a manga artist who reunites with her sisters, with whom she has no relationship, due to the will of her dying father. The document requires the five sisters to live together in a mansion, and there Rikako discovers that she has a secret sister she never knew anything about.
Yamashita began publishing the work in Kodansha's Morning magazine in June 2021. The author already has experience closing long stories: her previous manga, Land, ran in the same magazine from March 2014 to July 2020 and also ended with eleven volumes.
A live-action before the ending
But the manga's ending is not the only thing coming for Twisted Sisters. The work will have a live-action adaptation that will premiere in January 2027, just before the final volume comes out. So those who want to reach the ending without spoilers from the live-action series will have a few difficult months.
Yen Press publishes Land and Wonder Boy, another Yamashita manga, in English. As for a possible license of Twisted Sisters for Latin America, there is no announcement from any Spanish-language publisher for now.
The eleventh and final volume will arrive in the first months of 2027. It remains to be seen how Yamashita closes this story of sisters, inheritances, and secrets.
