Final Seishun Buta Yarou movie gives out mini shikishi with Mai and more illustrations

The movie Seishun Buta Yarou wa Dear Friend no Yume o Minai has announced its bonus for the second week in Japanese theaters. From October 24 to 30, attendees will receive a mini shikishi with original illustrations by Satomi Murata, character designer for the franchise.

There are four designs available: Sakurajima Mai, Akagi Ikumi, Himeji Sara, and Azusagawa Kaede. They are handed out randomly, so there is no way to pick a favorite. Each person gets one per ticket.

Along with the shikishi, they will also give out a four-panel sticker drawn by Jako. The design commemorates the birthday of Futaba Rio, another of the series' most beloved characters.

Bonuses available while supplies last

As is usual with these promotions, both bonuses are limited in quantity. The organizers note that distribution ends as soon as units run out, even if the week is still ongoing.

The movie premiered on October 16 in Japan and is the work that closes the main story of Seishun Buta Yarou. Sakuta and Mai return to face the final mystery of puberty syndrome, with CloverWorks once again handling animation and Masui Souichi directing.

The cast keeps Ishikawa Kaito as Azusagawa Sakuta and Seto Asami as Sakurajima Mai. Kubo Yurika also appears as Kaede, Taneda Risa as Futaba, and Minase Inori as Makinohara Shouko, among others.

The franchise remains active beyond the big screen: on October 9, Seishun Buta Yarou wa Doctor Pig no Yume o Minai + came out in Japan, the second collection of short stories from the original novels by Kamoshida Hajime.
