Wound & Bandage unveils main trailer with MIYAVI opening and three more cast members

The Wound & Bandage anime now has a main trailer. The preview teases the opening «Show Me All Your Pain» by MIYAVI and confirms three additions to the cast ahead of the Japanese premiere on January 9, 2027.

The new voices are Ko Bonkobara as Shota Kawaramori and Kengo Takanashi as Mamoru Fujiyoshida, two of Go Kiritani's subordinates. They are joined by Tomokazu Sugita as narrator.

The video shows the voices of the main characters for the first time. One scene shows Riyo Washizu getting excited watching Kiritani, a strong man, go through moments of weakness.

A romantic comedy with a very particular premise

The story revolves around the Washizu yakuza family and the Kurotori-kai organization. Kiritani is tasked with looking after the boss's daughter, Riyo, who is fascinated by seeing strong people show their vulnerable side.

The previously announced cast includes Hina Kanemoto as Riyo, Chikahiro Kobayashi as Go Kiritani, and Shoya Ishige as Ginsuke Hatobane. The new promotional image brings the three together on a neon-lit street.

MIYAVI performs the opening

The opening theme, «Show Me All Your Pain», was written, composed, and arranged by MIYAVI together with her0ism and Takayuki «Kojiro» Sasaki. The trailer previews part of the song, with intense guitar and a seductive melody that matches the world of the series.

Miyuki Ishida directs, with scripts and composition by Susumu Yamakawa and character designs by Natsuki Oyama. J.C.STAFF handles the animation.

The original manga by Umihoshi Nanai is serialized in Kodansha's Gekkan Magazine Base. The Japanese premiere is set for January 9, 2027, and the official site announced a special pre-broadcast program on ABEMA at 8:00 p.m. that same day, Japan time.
