The eight club members posing against a red background.Hasunosora is the fifth entry in the Love Live! multimedia project. The story follows a group of girls who balance their school life with their work as idols at Hasunosora Private Academy in Kanazawa. What made this project stand out from the start was its connection to real time: the main story played out inside the Link! Like! Love Live! app, which shut down in June this year, and events followed the real calendar, with graduations, grade changes, and seasonal festivities.
The anime will adapt the arc covering April to June of the 106th generation. Among the new students are Nishikami Maika, voiced by Hoshimiya Juria, and Reisawa Aoi, played by Asahi Kana, who already debuted in the franchise's animated film. Joining them now is Shiwawa Mion, voiced by Yuzawa Kanae, a girl who loves magic shows.

For those of us who followed the project through the app, seeing this arc in anime form is a chance to revisit the story in a more accessible way, now that the original service is no longer available.
